⁸ And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad. He had desired to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him, and trusted to see some miracle done by him. ⁹ Then he questioned him concerning many things, but Jesus answered him not one word. ¹⁰ The high priests and scribes stood forth and accused him vehemently.
